This Cookie Policy explains how Floroo uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) on floroo.be. It complements our Privacy Policy and is provided in accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as implemented in Belgian law) and the GDPR.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage allow a site to store information in your browser. Together they help sites function, remember preferences and measure usage.

2. Legal basis

Under Art. 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act (implementing the ePrivacy Directive), we may store information on your device, or access information already stored, only:

  • without your consent, when this is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested; or
  • with your prior consent, in all other cases. Consent is freely given, specific, informed and can be withdrawn at any time.

3. Categories of cookies we use

a. Strictly necessary

Required to operate the site, keep you signed in, remember the bouquet you are building and complete checkout. These do not require consent.

  • Supabase authentication tokens (kept for the duration of your session).
  • Session and local storage entries holding your in-progress bouquet and selected vase.
  • Stripe cookies set during the checkout flow to process payment and prevent fraud.

b. Functional

Remember preferences such as your last selected flowers. Set only with your consent where they are not strictly necessary.

c. Third-party services

  • Google Maps Platform — loaded to provide delivery address autocomplete. Google may set cookies on its own domains. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. Managing your choices

You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site. You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings:

Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, the bouquet builder and checkout from working correctly.

5. Your rights

You have the rights described in our Privacy Policy, including the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
